God wants to bless you, the question is "are you in position to be blessed?"

by Johnette Moore

"God wants to bless you, the question is are you in position to be blessed?"

A friend of mine posted this question and when I read it, I immediately envisioned a pilot ready to take of and doing all the necessary checks.. Unless everything is working accurately.. that aircraft simply will not take off.
Likewise with sound checks.. the technical staff will check every microphone and location, every speaker... over and over.. "testing" "testing" "testing"... until each one is marrying with the other.. BEFORE the curtain goes up..

When God asks the question through His servant "are you in position"?.. it is because HE KNOWS that we are not in alignment with His word and His will .. somehow. What He is actually saying is:-

Step up your prayer life..
Spend more time in my word..
Worship me like you never worshiped before..
Praise me till you drop.. unihibited praise like David praised.....
Trust me even when you can't trace me...
Love me with all that you are..
Give until it hurts..
YIELD TO ME..... relinquish your rights to yourself so I can use you..
OBEY ME.... TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY..
PROVE ME... GIVE YOURSELF AWAY..

He wants us to do our own sound checks.. If you readily answered yes to the question, chances are, you are really NOT in position..
When God asked,  "Adam, where are you?" It was not because God didn't know where Adam was, but because God wanted Adam to assess his own position..

And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”
So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” Genesis 3:8-10
